Tropical Storm Harvey, which is barreling westward through the Caribbean Sea has caused at least one cruise line to change its published itinerary.
Norwegian Cruise Line has announced that, to ensure "our guests have the best vacation experience possible," it will be adjusting the itinerary for the Norwegian Escape sailing which is scheduled to depart August 19 from Miami.
The ship will now call upon St. Maarten on Tuesday, August 22, St. Thomas, USVI on Wednesday, August 23 and Nassau, Bahamas on Friday, August 25.
"At Norwegian Cruise Line, the safety and security of our guests and crew is of the utmost importance," read a statement from the cruise line in a press release.
The original itinerary called for stops in Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras; Harvest Caye, Belize and Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico.
According to Weather.com, Harvey is "moving briskly" through the Caribbean Sea, although it is likely to have minimal impact in the short term.

If it continues on its current path and at its current rate, it is expected to hit landfall-either in Central America or Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula-by Monday or Tuesday and at the very least will cause flooding and mudslides in those areas.
Weather.com recommends that residents of-and travelers to-eastern Mexico and south Texas monitor Harvey's progress.
