Passenger Cited for Assault on Spirit Airlines Flight Attendant
On Sunday, a man was cited by police after he allegedly struck a Spirit Airlines crew member while he was boarding his flight in Denver.
According to CBS Denver, the incident occurred at Denver International Airport when a passenger, who was not identified, was boarding a Spirit Airlines flight with a child in a car seat.
The man was directed to a compatible seat for his child’s car seat, but he then refused to move, began to shout and would not leave the airplane. It was at that moment that the passenger allegedly struck the flight attendant in the back.
The Spirit Airlines flight crew notified the Denver police and officers walked the man and his child off the plane. While the passenger was not arrested, he did receive a citation for disturbing the peace and assault.
Officials from Spirit Airlines refused to issue the disgruntled passenger another ticket, and the flight departed from Denver International Airport without the man and his child.
