Passenger Tasered, Removed From Flight

We’ve seen, heard and written about stories involving unruly passengers, but rarely involving a man who was tasered for his behavior.

That happened this morning in London at Gatwick Airport according to multiple reports.

The man was denied bringing on two pieces of carry-on luggage, although one was apparently a "man-purse" or fanny pack that the man had around his waist.

In the ensuing argument with flight staff on the budget airline, the man became more and more argumentative to the point where the flight crew say he became abusive and called for police.

The police came on board and tried to reason with the man, who continued to loudly demand why he couldn’t have such a small, second piece of hand luggage. That’s when the man was hit with a stun gun and carried off the plane in front of stunned fellow passengers.

For security reasons, all passengers had to exit the plane, according to British actor and musician Gary Trainor’s tweet.

Police said the man was arrested on suspicion of breaching the peace. Trainor tweeted less than an hour later that all was well.
