The San Francisco Travel Association and the web-based trip planning service Utrip have joined forces to offer the technology to people planning a trip to the San Francisco area, according to tnooz.com.
The service is debuting in the Bay Area just in time for the Super Bowl, which is set for Sunday at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
Although most people visiting the area on Sunday will be focused on the big game, area officials wanted to take the opportunity to show off what else is available in the area, tnooz.com reported.
Those who visit the site are prompted to enter their travel dates and preferences for things such as history, food, nightlife and budget. In return, the site gives them a personalized itinerary.
“The Utrip trip planner combines recent advancements in artificial intelligence algorithms with the expertise of San Francisco locals in order to create trip plans that are optimized for geography, seasonality, special events and hours of operation,” Utrip CEO Gilad Berenstein said.
