An allegedly drunk passenger on an Aeroflot flight in Russia was restrained by passengers and crew members after he reportedly punched a flight attendant.

According to the Daily Mail, the Aeroflot flight was on a domestic journey from the city of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk to Moscow when the drunk man began acting unruly and became a distraction for other passengers.

The captain of the flight told the passenger to calm down and return to his seat, but he lost his temper and struck one of the flight attendants. After the assault, crew members and other passengers overpowered the man, tied his hands behind his back and strapped him into a flight attendant's seat.

Once the man was placed in the seat and safely strapped in, he continued to verbally assault anyone within shouting distance, even challenging crew members to a fight. Video of the man restrained has since circulated on Twitter:

The Aeroflot flight was met in Moscow by police who took the man into custody. The disruptive passenger faces charges and a possible jail sentence. As for the photos and video of the incident, they quickly went viral in Russia and have now gone international.
