On Monday, a woman on a United Airlines flight that had just landed in Houston opened one of the emergency doors on the plane, walked onto the wing of the moving aircraft and jumped off.

According to FoxNews.com, United Airlines Flight 1982 had just landed at George Bush Intercontinental Airport at around 1:20 p.m. local time when witnesses say she stood up without saying a word and opened the emergency door.

Before flight attendants could stop the female passenger, she walked onto the wing of the plane while it was still being taxied into a restricted area and jumped to the ground below. The woman then ran away from the scene before being caught by authorities a short time later.

CBS News shared a video of the incident:

Once the woman was taken into custody, the Federal Bureau of Investigation deemed that there was no federal case and turned over the investigation to the Houston Police Department. The female passenger is currently undergoing psychological tests following the incident.

The remaining passengers on Flight 1982 were forced to sit in the plane for an hour while authorities chased down the fleeing passenger. Some of the people on the United Airlines flight shared images from the incident on social media:
