A woman claims she was removed from a Spirit Airlines flight from New Orleans to Fort Lauderdale, Florida Sunday because of her scant blouse.

"It's not even about money. I was really embarrassed," the unidentified woman told Miami's Local 10 News in a phone interview.

However, the airline told a different story, alleging that the woman was intoxicated.

"Nobody was taken off a plane because of cleavage," Spirit spokesman Paul Berry told Local 10 News. "People are taken off of planes because of their behavior."

Still, Berry confirmed that a flight attendant commented on the woman's bosom.

"The flight attendant made that decision, and as she was leaving, she said, 'By the way, you might want to cover up.' It was more of a personal statement to her," he added.

While Spirit denies that the woman's attire was the reason she was asked to leave the plane, at least two other passengers took to social media afterward to defend her.

In a lengthy post to Facebook on Monday morning, Cathy Supp said that she was forced to spend the night at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport after being removed from the plane for simply offering a tissue to the upset woman.

"Granted she was well endowed and wearing a low-cut top, but she was covered," wrote Supp. "They claimed they had had complaints (there were no nuns [or] Muslims on board and no one could see her in the center seat unless they tried anyway)."

According to the New York Daily News, fellow passenger Bob Kowaleski wrote on Facebook that crew members "embarrassed the young girl and she didn't appear any more out of bounds than anyone else on the flight."

Ultimately, a total of three passengers-the woman, her friend and Supp-were asked to leave the plane. The woman was later rebooked on another flight.

Berry said the airline hopes to get in touch with her regarding the incident.
