Travel Leaders Franchise Group introduced the newest member of its team, industry heavyweight Michael Boult, during the kickoff of its 2014 Travel Leaders National Meeting in Glendale, Ariz. Boult will serve as vice president of Travel Leaders' Business Travel Center of Excellence. He takes the helm from Peter Thomson, who retired.
"Having already had the opportunity to work directly with many of our leading, business travel-focused Travel Leaders, Michael Boult is uniquely qualified to lead our multiple award-winning Business Travel Center of Excellence and help our members achieve even greater success," said Roger Block, president of Travel Leaders Franchise Group, during his opening general session remarks before more than 600 attendees.
"Michael has an incredibly diverse, multinational background in the corporate travel marketplace - from travel management company ownership to a provider of business travel technology. As such, he's very highly regarded."
As noted by Block, Boult's expertise within the corporate travel arena is extensive, having served as the chief commercial officer at Lanyon, president and CEO of StarCite, and founder and CEO of eCLIPSE Advisors. At eCLIPSE, Boult was responsible for developing and deploying new spend management solutions for air, hotel and car categories for 200 multinational clients.
During his 12 years at Rosenbluth, Boult was charged with the task of developing and launching myTRAVELBID.com, the first dedicated online travel spend exchange.
