Sivley Succeeds Noel As President Of Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection Parent
Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Concierge LLC named Dean Sivley as president, succeeding John Noel, who is taking an executive advisory role due to illness. Noel was recently diagnosed with early stage Lewy Body Disease.
Sivley was most recently chief executive officer of executive car service firm Groundlink. Prior to that Sivley was president of Travel Guard’s Americas division; he took over as Travel Guard’s chief e-business officer starting in 2009, when Noel himself left Travel Guard, three years after selling it to AIG.
Sivley will oversee Berkshire Hathaway's strategic growth and report to Sanjay Godhwani, executive vice president of Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance. The company purchased MyAssist and Insure America in January 2014, and also launched Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection brand last year.
“We have been very fortunate to have John Noel lead our entry into the travel insurance business, and now to advise our growing operations. John and his family have the full support and best wishes of the entire BHSI organization,” said Godhwani.
