Glenn Sampert Named General Manager of The Liberty, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Boston
The Liberty, a Luxury Collection Hotel announces the appointment of Glenn Sampert as general manager of the Beacon Hill property. Prior to joining The Liberty, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Sampert served as the general manager of the AAA Four Diamond Westin La Paloma Resort and Spa in Tucson, Arizona. Sampert served as President of the Southern Arizona Lodging & Resort Association, and was a board member of the United Way of Tucson & Southern Arizona. Sampert is a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the British Columbian Institute of Technology in hospitality and tourism administration. He relocated to the Boston area with his wife, Kathy, and enjoys running and Crossfit.
El Al Israel Airlines Appoints Yoram Elgrabli Managing Director Of The Americas
EL AL Israel Airlines announces the appointment of Yoram Elgrabli as managing director for North and Central America. In this new role, he will oversee all operations for the airline’s largest and most important region outside of Israel. A seasoned team member with vast experience in finance, sales and operations, Elgrabli has more than 25 years’ tenure with EL AL. He brings to this position strong leadership skills as well as extensive global experience and expertise in the aviation industry.
Elgrabli has held several EL AL managerial positions in Israel and Europe. Most recently, he served as Managing Director for Western Europe, overseeing the airline in France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Austria, Hungry and Czechoslovakia. Additional management roles held by Elgrabli while based at the EL AL Head Office in Israel include serving as chief of staff of the global commercial and sales division.
Born and raised in Israel, and a former tank commander in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Elgrabli received an undergraduate degree with honors in business administration, marketing and management. He is married with three children and is based in the EL AL North American headquarters in New York City.
Hyatt House New York/Chelsea Appoints Ashley M. Mahon As General Manager
Lexin Capital and Real Hospitality Group (RHG) are pleased to announce the appointment of Ashley M. Mahon as general manager of the new Hyatt House New York/Chelsea, which will debut in the fall of 2016 as the brand’s first New York City location. Leading up to the hotel’s opening, Mahon will oversee the new build hotel that is being developed by Lexin Capital, a private investment, development and management company.
Most recently, Mahon served as director of rooms at Hyatt Herald Square where she took part in leading the building’s complete rebuild into the new hotel, as well as implementing brand standards and training new associates. Within this role, Mahon forecasted budgets to ensure maximum profitability and increased Trip Advisor scores from 270 to 120. Prior to her time at Hyatt Herald Square, she was Assistant General Manager at Fairfield Inn & Suites Manhattan/Chelsea, where she completed re-training of all the associates and revamped scheduling to maximize earnings.
Suzanne Strealy Appointed Director of National Sales, Southeast For Atlantis, Paradise Island
Suzanne Strealy has been appointed the new director of national sales for the Southeast market for Atlantis, Paradise Island. In her new role, she will be responsible for acquiring new group business, maintaining customer relationships, and meeting revenue expectations.
Strealy has over 15 years of experience in the area of luxury resort sales, including expertise in generating new and repeat business and exceeding annual revenue goals. Most recently, she was Account Director for Groups at The St. Regis Deer Valley, where she played a successful role in managing direct sales to the Southeast market. Prior to that, she served as the Director of Southeast Sales for The Westin St. John Resort. During this role, she was one of the top three sales producers within the Starwood Hotel and Resorts Southeast region and was nominated for the Sales Manager of the Year within the company.
Superclubs Names Gwenn Feliciano Director Of Sales North America
SuperClubs, the world’s only Super-Inclusive resort group, welcomes Gwenn Feliciano as the company’s new director of sales North America overseeing the sales and marketing efforts of Breezes Resort & Spa - Bahamas and Rooms on The Beach properties in Jamaica. Feliciano rejoins the SuperClubs family after having previously led the sales and marketing departments for over a decade.
Since 2014, Feliciano had held the role of director of sales and marketing at Pritikin Longevity Center & Spa where she planned and executed marketing objectives for the all-inclusive, five-star wellness resort. Prior to Pritikin, she worked at the Radisson Blu Resort Spa & Marina as the director of sales and marketing where she played a major role in a full-scale turnaround of key statistics, increased web direct revenue by doubling the conversion rate for online reservations by 28 percent, and grew guest satisfaction ratings by 45 percent. A Caribbean expert, Feliciano also worked as the director of sales and marketing for both Elite Island Resorts and Our Lucaya Beach & Golf Resort.

French Leave Resort, managed by Shaner Hotels and the newest addition to Marriott’s Autograph Collection in the Caribbean, is proud to announce the appointment of Jahmed Mills as general manager for the resort.
Mills comes to French Leave Resort after nearly five years in management at the Marriott Durham City Center, also managed by Shaner, where he quickly progressed from roles as a Front Desk Supervisor and Assistant Front Office Manager to Front Office Manager, before accepting his current position last month as General Manager at French Leave.
Throughout his career, Mills has proven his strong financial management and business acumen with positions at a boutique investment firm and as a credit manager at the Frenchman’s Reef Marriott, achieving top results. He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting and financial management, as well as an MBA from the University of the Virgin Islands.
Hotel Valley Ho Hires New General Manager A True Icon In Downtown Scottsdale
The iconic Hotel Valley Ho in Downtown Scottsdale, Arizona has welcomed a new member to its team, general manager Ronen Aviram. He will oversee all aspects of operations at this true icon of 1950s modernism.
Ronen assumed his new position on Aug. 1, returning to the hotel after serving as its pre-opening director of guest operations from 2005 to 2008. He has 18 years of hospitality management experience, most recently serving as the Hotel Manager for Swissotel Chicago. Ronen has also held management positions at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, Beverly Wilshire, Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole, and several other properties. With experience overseeing front office, rooms, communications, and guest operations, as well as a master’s degree in hotel and food service management, he has the well-rounded knowledge needed to create an exceptional guest experience.
