Barton Hill Hotel & Spa Appoints Gerry Rosés As New General Manager

Barton Hill Hotel & Spa, the stylish riverfront boutique hotel set along the Niagara River, has appointed Gerry Rosés, an experienced hospitality professional, as general manager.

Rosés comes to Barton Hill Hotel & Spa with over 20 years of experience in the hospitality and travel industry, most recently as rooms division director of the Sheraton at the Falls. Previously, Rosés held leadership positions at hotels including the Holiday Inn Secaucus Meadowlands (N.J.), the Ocean Vista Resort (N.Y.), and Springhill Suites by Marriott (N.J.).

Rosés was born and raised in the Philippines where he ran his family’s restaurant and café. He moved to New York in 1980 where he launched his career in the hotel industry.

Hilton San Francisco Union Square and Parc 55 San Francisco - A Hilton Hotel, ideally located in the heart of San Francisco, are pleased to announce the appointment of Frank Manchen as area director of sales and marketing. In his new role, Manchen will lead the development of sales and marketing strategies among other functions supporting the properties.

Most recently, Manchen served as director of sales and marketing at San Francisco Marriott Marquis. Prior sales and marketing experience with a diverse portfolio of Hilton Worldwide properties includes Hilton Waikoloa Village, La Quinta Resort & Club, A Waldorf Astoria Resort and PGA West, Conrad Chicago, the DoubleTree by Hilton San Jose, DoubleTree by Hilton San Francisco Airport and Pointe Hilton Resorts. He has held positions at five California-based properties and began his career in hospitality as a management trainee at The Beverly Hilton.

The Set Appoints Matthias Kaesweber As New Vice President Of Sales And Marketing

Educated in Brand Management and Marketing, Kaesweber was most recently based in Zurich, Switzerland, where he held the role of board member at Dolder Hotel AG and director of sales & marketing at Dolder Grand, one of the city's most prominent luxury hotel and another member of Leading Hotels of the World.

Kaesweber also brings with him extensive experience within the luxury hotel market throughout Europe including Germany and Austria, having held a number of director of sales & marketing roles with Kempinski Hotels, the Althoff Hotel Collection and the Grand Spa Resort in Kitzbuhel.

Bahtiyar most recently served as director of operations at The Westin Tysons Corner Hotel, Virginia. As director of operations, Bahtiyar was responsible for maintaining guest satisfactions, profitability and employee morale under all Starwood Standards and policies. Oetker Collection Appoints Catherine Hodoul-Baudry As Head Of Regional Sales And Marketing At The Lanesborough In London

Catherine Hodoul-Baudry, head of sales and marketing at Le Bristol Paris since 2004, and head of regional sales and marketing at Palais Namaskar and Eden Rock – St Barths, now will serve as the head of regional sales and marketing at The Lanesborough.

After studying literature and earning a degree in history, complemented by a masters in tourism and a postgraduate degree in communications, Hodoul-Baudry joined the Méridien Group's Europe division in 1991. In 1995 she joined the Ritz Paris, where she worked for eight years, occupying three positions within the sales team including sales and marketing director.

Recruited by Le Bristol in 2004, Hodoul-Baudry joined the team of president and CEO Pierre Ferchaud with the mission of giving the palace a more contemporary image by deploying a distinguished new environment and launching the hotel’s expansion. When Didier Le Calvez was appointed president and CEO in 2010, Hodoul-Baudry participated in repositioning Le Bristol Paris with a focus on the hotel’s renovation and shift in its mix of clientele.

As Oetker Collection’s senior vice president of sales and marketing, Le Calvez extended the scope of Hodoul-Baudry's responsibilities, appointing her head of regional sales and marketing at Palais Namasakar in 2012 and Eden Rock – St Barths in 2014.

Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau Appoints Valley Forge Tourism Exec to Board of Directors

Michael S. Bowman, president and CEO of the Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board (VFTCB) has been named to the 2016 board of directors for the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau (PHLCVB), the official tourism promotion agency (TPA) for the City of Philadelphia globally, and the primary sales and marketing arm for the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Bowman will serve on the board’s executive committee.

As the leader of the VFTCB, Bowman oversees the third largest TPA in the Commonwealth behind only Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, respectively. He leads a team of 27 hospitality sales and marketing professionals charged with promoting Montgomery County as tourism and convention destination.

MGM National Harbor Names Bybee Vice President Of Food And Beverage

MGM National Harbor has named restaurant and hospitality industry leader Alison Bybee as its vice president of food and beverage.

A seasoned hospitality and restaurant executive, Bybee is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the resort's Food and Beverage division, which includes a combination of high-volume and gourmet dining outlets, lounges, catering and banquets, the wine and beverage program, in-room dining, kitchens and stewarding. In her role, she will create and implement the division's business plan, oversee the long-term growth and profitability of each venue and establish a culture of integrity, teamwork and respect for all employees and business partners.
