Atlantis, Paradise Island has announced the appointments of Audrey Oswell as chief operating officer and Wendy Blaney as senior vice president of sales for Atlantis, Paradise Island resort in The Bahamas.
A hospitality and gaming veteran with over 30 years of experience, Oswell has made her return to Atlantis after previously holding the position of chief operating officer for Seneca Gaming. Throughout her career, Oswell has served in top executive leadership positions, including senior management roles at Caesars Atlantic City, the Cosmopolitan and Fountainbleau Las Vegas.
Blaney joins Atlantis with more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Wendy most recently served as director, in market East & Atlantic City for Caesars Entertainment where she managed a team of 25 regional and national sales managers. Her responsibilities included building and managing Caesars Entertainment’s eastern division in-market sales efforts in Las Vegas and Atlantic City.
MSC Cruises Names Adam Snitzer Senior Vice President Of Guest Services
MSC Cruises has announced that Adam Snitzer has joined the company as senior vice president of guest services for North America.
Before joining MSC Cruises, Snitzer led Peak Revenue Performance, an international consulting firm specializing in the travel business. Snitzer is a cruise industry veteran with more than 18 years’ experience and has worked for various cruise lines including Seabourn Cruise Line, Costa Crociere, Norwegian Cruise Lines and Royal Caribbean International. Snitzer began his career at the American Express Company where he made significant advancements to the customer contact centers and loyalty programs.

Kimpton Shorebreak Hotel has announced the new hire of Lizzie Raudenbush as director of sales and marketing. In her new role, she will be responsible for planning and implementing sales, marketing and product development programs for the 157-room boutique hotel.
Raudenbush comes to the Shorebreak from Kimpton Hotel Palomar San Diego, where she spent five years in various roles, most recently as associate director of sales. As associate director of sales, she oversaw the day to day operation of the Sales and Catering departments while playing a crucial role in driving the topline strategies of the hotel. Her other positions included serving as business travel sales manager and group sales manager. During her time, Raudenbush built the hotel’s corporate negotiated and consortia markets from the ground up through creative, tactful and relationship-driven sales strategies. As a testament to her versatility, she seamlessly moved into group sales and quickly became the highest revenue-producing group sales manager in the history of the hotel.

Fontana brings more than 20 years of industry experience and most recently held the role of general manager of The Kimpton EPIC Hotel in Miami – the brand’s flagship property in Florida. His background includes roles leading other luxury and lifestyle hotels in the U.S. and Caribbean.

Most recently, Sium served as general manager at Tideline Ocean Resort & Spa in West Palm Beach, Florida. While Sium is trading beachfront views for D.C.’s 14th Street corridor, the Montgomery College graduate is no stranger to the mid-Atlantic region, as he started his career working up through the ranks at many Washington area hotels before joining Kimpton in 2008. Sium worked as an assistant general manager at both Kimpton Hotel Monaco Baltimore Inner Harbor and Kimpton Hotel Monaco Washington DC before taking on his first general manger role at Kimpton Vero Beach Resort & Spa in Vero Beach, Florida.
Finally, Kimpton EPIC Hotel, in downtown Miami, has announced the appointment of Stacy Rosario as the director of social catering. In her new role, Rosario will be responsible for leading the social catering team, planning and executing events, and managing new business development.
Rosario joins EPIC with more than seven years of hospitality catering experience and a vast knowledge of the Miami market. She most recently held catering management roles at the Four Seasons Miami, Viceroy Miami, and JW Marriott Miami. Rosario earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Florida International University. She also holds a national wedding planner certification from Wedding Planning Institute. When Rosario isn’t leading EPIC’s catering team and ensuring a one-of-a-kind social experience, she enjoys traveling, painting or attending concerts.

Garza has been working in the hospitality industry for more than 10 years. She began her career as an event coordinator at the San Antonio Botanical Garden, and then joined the Hilton Palacio Rio, located on the San Antonio Riverwalk, as a catering sales manager in 2007. She then moved to Hyatt Regency Hill Country where she worked for the past five years.
Danny Boockvar Named President of NFL Experience Times Square
Leading consumer experience executive Danny Boockvar has been named president of NFL Experience Times Square, a new sports-themed entertainment attraction coming to the heart of New York City later this year.
Prior to joining NFL Experience Times Square, Boockvar was the chief executive officer of New York Cruise Lines Inc., operator of the world-renowned Circle Line Sightseeing. Before that, he served as the chief operating officer of the Girl Scouts of the USA. Boockvar also spent over a decade as a senior executive at Weight Watchers International, where he ran U.S. Operations and was responsible for the roll-out of new national service offerings in both North America and China.
Sanderling Resort Welcomes Chef De Cuisine Tyler Powell
Sanderling Resort, the Outer Banks’ only AAA Four Diamond resort, today announced the appointment of Tyler Powell as chef de cuisine. Chef Powell will helm the kitchen at the resort’s signature fine-dining restaurant, Kimball’s Kitchen, and oversee menu development, quality control, event planning and management of the restaurant’s staff. Powell brings more than 12 years of industry experience with him to Sanderling Resort.
Chef Powell has served as executive chef at a variety of beloved dining destinations throughout the explosive food scene in Louisville, Kentucky including The Silver Dollar, El Camino, the St. Charles Exchange and 732 Social. Prior to that, he held the position of sous chef at Rivue at The Galt House Hotel and Basa Restaurant. In 2013, Chef Powell’s culinary talents were tapped for an appearance at the distinguished James Beard House, where he presented a themed menu that encompassed the “Spirit of Kentucky,” introducing his signature Southern-inflected fare to an audience of more than 70 discerning foodies.
