Kimpton Lorien Hotel & Spa In Old Town Alexandria, Virginia Taps Vogel As General Manager

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants has named Stephane Vogel as general manager of Kimpton Lorien Hotel & Spa in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia.  Vogel brings more than 16 years of hospitality industry experience to the hotel’s executive team, including eight years within the Kimpton family where he was most recently general manager at the award-winning Kimpton Donovan Hotel in downtown Washington, D.C. During his tenure with Kimpton, Vogel has worked his way up through management roles at many hotels including Kimpton Rouge Hotel, Kimpton Hotel Monaco Washington DC and Kimpton Hotel Palomar Washington DC. In 2014, Vogel was named to his first general manager role at Kimpton George Hotel on Capitol Hill, which was recognized as a 2014 Fodor’s 100 Hotel Award winner under his watch. He gained invaluable experience along the way in managing hotel and sales staff, spa and restaurant teams, guests, meeting and event planners, vendors and owners. Under his leadership, each Kimpton hotel Vogel’s directly overseen has consistently ranked in the 90th percentile of employee satisfaction and has improved TripAdvisor rankings by at least five positions.

Radisson Blu Minneapolis Downtown announces the promotion of Stephanie Hartmann to director of revenue management. Following graduating from Minnesota State University, Mankato, Hartmann worked at Carrabba’s Italian Grill in Fort Myers, FL, where she coordinated local marketing endeavors and ranked in the top three in sales. She later joined Hilton Worldwide, Minneapolis, MN, where she maintained annual budgets, controlled daily inventory and created incentive programs to drive revenue.

Before the recent purchase of Hotel Crescent Court and the return to its iconic name, DiGiovanni was a Sales Manager with Rosewood Crescent. While transitioning the property to an independently owned hotel, he has been able to consistently maintain sales while learning and implementing new procedures, ultimately leading him to acquire his newest title. In addition to his previous role at Rosewood Crescent, DiGiovanni has also held positions at two high-end, standout Dallas hotels including Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek and Le Méridien Dallas, The Stoneleigh.

Grand Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta Welcomes New Managing Director

La Colección, Grupo Posadas’ recently reimagined collection of beach resorts located in Mexico’s most desired locations, kicks off the year with new arrivals, welcoming Alain Berthelot as the new managing director of Grand Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta. Berthelot is the former general manager of Live Aqua and Grand Fiesta Americana Monterrey and, as of December, brings his vast expertise in the hospitality industry to Posadas’ vibrant Puerto Vallarta property.

Kennebunkport Resort Collection Names Justin Grimes Director Of Operations

Kennebunkport Resort Collection (KRC), has announced several strategic management promotions across KRC’s diverse portfolio of luxury and upscale properties.  Justin Grimes - named one of the 2016 “Thirty Under 30” hotel executives by Hotel Management, a leading hospitality business publication - has taken the helm as KRC’s director of operations.  A seven-year veteran of KRC, Grimes most recently served as general manager of KRC’s Hidden Pond and The Tides Beach Club.  Both properties were recognized among the top 10 “Top Resorts in New England” in the 2016 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards.

KRC also announced Christy Reid’s promotion to guest experience manager, a new position for the company.  Reid joined the KRC team in 2007 as a project manager for Hidden Pond and in her tenure has served a variety of positions including general manager at Hidden Pond, and most recently the general manager of The Cottages at Cabot Cove and The Lodge on the Cove. Working closely with Grimes, Reid’s core responsibilities in her new role will focus on guest services training and audits, property aesthetics, and project management.

Based primarily in North America, she also handled matters in Asia and the Middle East and worked for a stint in Starwood’s Asia Pacific headquarters. Mutterperl joined Starwood from Kirkland & Ellis, where she advised clients across private and public transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, financings, joint ventures, public offerings, corporate governance and other corporate matters.

Lemus Named Executive Chef for Hilton Anatole

Hilton Anatole today announced the appointment of Rigoberto Lemus as the property’s new executive chef. In this role, Chef Lemus will oversee culinary teams and menu development for the 1,606-room landmark hotel located in the Dallas Design District. Lemus joins the Hilton Anatole most recently from the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in Washington D.C. where he also served as executive chef. Lemus brings with him to the Anatole, significant leadership experience and a passion for culinary innovation which he has fostered throughout his career, which has included prestigious positions at properties including Hyatt Regency San Francisco, Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort and the Intercontinental Hotel here in Dallas, Texas.

The Time New York Appoints Leiya Cohen To Director Of Operations

The Time New York is pleased to announce the appointment of Dream Hotel Group veteran Leiya Cohen to director of operations. In her new role, Cohen is responsible for the daily management of the hotel’s front office, housekeeping and engineering to ensure operative success and an unrivaled guest experience.

Prior to her role as director of operations, Cohen was the director of front office at The Time New York where she assisted with the hotel’s renovation budget, daily operations while the hotel was under construction, and led the implementation of new technology systems such as StayNTouch. Rosewood Hotels & Resorts Appoints Siuyin Ko As Corporate Director Of Sales

SiuYin Ko has been appointed corporate director of sales by Rosewood Hotels & Resorts.  In this role, she will provide leadership and strategic direction for Rosewood’s North American Regional Sales organization.  SiuYin will also establish a new regional office in San Francisco – expanding the brand’s global sales footprint with its thirteenth regional office and its second west coast office – and will focus on establishing key business partnerships and elevating brand awareness in the region.

SiuYin joins Rosewood as a global sales leader and entrepreneur having formed Chrysalis Development Group to provide strategic services to a variety of leading luxury and lifestyle hotel brands.  SiuYin boasts extensive experience in the incentive, meetings and events industry, including over 20 years at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts where she served as regional director of sales.  Under her effective leadership, her sales teams achieved top honors within the Four Seasons Worldwide Sales Organization.  In addition to her tenure at Four Seasons, her prior roles both at CSI DMC and The Performance Group allowed her to work collaboratively and as a trusted partner to clients nationwide.
