Trump SoHo New York Announces Brian New Director of Sales and Marketing
Trump SoHo New York, the first Trump Hotel Collection property in downtown Manhattan and the neighborhood’s only AAA Five Diamond-rated hotel, today announced its appointment of Brian Honan as the new director of sales and marketing at Trump SoHo.
A veteran in his field, Honan spent the past six years as the director of marketing at the 900-room New York Palace Hotel. He was an integral part of the brand’s efforts to establish a marketing presence in the American market, creating awareness and demand among domestic travel partners.
Managing sales and catering relations, he developed instrumental strategies for the Palace’s two distinct properties: The Towers and The Palace Main House. For 14 years prior, Honan was the director of marketing at the Four Seasons New York Hotel where he consistently soared in the sales department by achieving record financial results and led all aspects of marketing for the flagship property. His career also includes senior marketing and sales positions with Hyatt International (UN Plaza Hotel), Nikko Hotels International (Essex House), and The Ritz Carlton Hotel Company’s first Manhattan property on Central Park South.
Culinary Leader Luis Lujan Joins The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco As Executive Chef
The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco is delighted to announce the appointment of Luis Lujan as executive chef. Joining the hotel from The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, Lujan is dedicated to leading the food & beverage efforts of this iconic property. Situated in a landmark building in the prestigious neighborhood of Nob Hill, The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco features three dining venues including the critically acclaimed Parallel 37, The Lounge, and the Club Lounge.
Throughout Lujan’s 17 year hospitality career, he has worked for well-known destinations such as The Savoy Hotel in London, working under Gordon Ramsay just as Cesar Ritz did. Lujan’s previous properties include The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park, and The Ritz-Carlton, Cancun, to which he took a brief break to serve as Chef de Parte at the renowned El Bulli in Spain. In 2010, Lujan was appointed to chef de cuisine at Eric Ripert’s AAA Five Diamond restaurant Blue, within The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman. In this high profile role, Lujan raised Blue’s food quality scores to number one in the company in his first year. His success as a culinary leader led him to his most recent role as executive sous chef, where he oversaw seven food & beverage outlets, banquet operations, and a $39 million budget.
Determan Named Group Sales Account Director For The Midwest Region At The Walt Disney World Swan And Dolphin Hotel
The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel has appointed Dan Determan group sales account director. In Determan’s new role, he will be responsible for the supervision of accounts in the Midwest market.
Determan comes to the hotel from the Orlando World Center Marriott, where he held the role of senior sales executive. Previously, he served a number of Chicago-area hotels at the managerial level, working to grow the group sales business. Determan is a graduate of Iowa State University.
Vine Communications Hires New Senior Account Executive
Vine Communications, Inc., a travel and hospitality public relations firm, announced today the addition of Christine Siervo as the new senior account executive. Siervo comes to the Miami- and NYC-based agency with over ten years of experience in PR, marketing, and social media.
