Rosewood Inn Of The Anasazi Appoints Daniel Rivera As Food & Beverage Operations Manager

Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi has appointed Daniel Rivera as food & beverage operations manager for the hotel. In his new role, Rivera will oversee all food and beverage initiatives at the Inn and its highly acclaimed Anasazi Restaurant and Bar, which have just unveiled a full refresh including a stunning new design and innovative new menu concepts.

Rivera previously served as senior food and beverage manager for Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek, where he helped oversee food and beverage operations for the legendary hotel. Prior to joining Rosewood, Rivera worked at the SLS South Beach where he was manager of the hotel’s signature restaurant, The Bazaar by José Andrés. Previously, he held the position of pre-opening manager for Restaurant Michael Schwartz at The Raleigh Miami Beach.

G6 Hospitality Names Mike Brower Chief Operating Officer

G6 Hospitality, known for its iconic economy lodging brands, Motel 6 and Studio 6 in the U.S. and Canada, today announced Mike Brower has been promoted to chief operating officer, effectively immediately.

As a seasoned hospitality executive, Brower has served as executive vice president of operations for the G6 Hospitality brands since 2012. He formed and continues to serve as the chairman for the Motel 6/Studio 6 Operations Committee. Through this committee, Brower has been responsible for guiding and elevating brand quality and guest experience, and increasing operational efficiency across the enterprise.

Since joining G6 Hospitality in 1985, Brower has held several leadership roles in operations, marketing, and asset management. Notable positions held include: director of marketing, regional vice president, operations, senior vice president of operations and executive vice president of operations. Brower was a key leader in the development of Studio 6 as a new extended-stay brand from concept to build, including the acquisition and conversion of 23 properties and opened several Motel 6 and Studio 6 properties in Canada.

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group Appoints Ashish Chopra Director Of Development

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the world’s largest and most dynamic hotel groups, today appointed Ashish “Alex” Chopra as director of development for the U.S. Southwest region. He will report directly to Philip Silberstein, executive vice president, development, Americas.

Chopra brings more than 16 years of hotel franchise development and contract negotiation experience to Carlson Rezidor, with strong performance in licensing, conversions, new construction and site development. Most recently, and for more than a decade, Chopra was at Choice Hotels International. His franchise background also includes development positions with Hilton, Baymont, Ramada, Days Inn and Howard Johnson.

One&Only Resorts Appoint Mike Bonner As Vice President Marketing

One&Only Resorts announces the appointment of established industry leader Mike Bonner as vice president, marketing, One&Only Resorts, effective immediately.  In this role, Bonner will be responsible for the entire global marketing of the brand, including online and offline channels, customer relationship management, direct marketing, creative services and brand partnerships. Bonner will be based in Dubai and will report directly to Helen McCabe-Young, executive vice president, sales and marketing, One&Only Resorts.

Bonner joins One&Only Resorts with extensive experience as a sales and marketing leader in the travel industry, having most recently worked with Silversea Cruises as general manager and sales and marketing director for UK and Ireland. Previously with Silversea, he was director of marketing for UK, Asia Pacific and emerging markets where he successfully developed a new marketing strategy to re-position the brand, as well as looking after the sales, reservations and customer services functions for the region.
