Abercrombie & Kent will return to Nepal in September for the first time since the devastating earthquake that hit the region earlier this year. The luxury adventure tour operator is also introducing 12 new programs to its lineup for 2016.
A&K’s Nepal program, called “Bhutan and Nepal: Heart of Himalaya,” was discontinued after the earthquake, but the company is now ready to put it back into operation.
“After careful consideration and an exploratory trip that allowed us to determine the safety and level of standards available, we made some adjustments to our current itinerary and are happy to say that A&K will be returning to Nepal this fall,” said A&K president, Phil Otterson. “We have seen the positive effects tourism has had in helping communities rebuild after natural disasters and look forward to once again introducing travelers to this beautiful country and its people.”
In addition, the operator is introducing 12 new programs in its Luxury Small Group Journeys series, including new programs in Europe, South America and North America.
Luxury Small Group Journeys are defined as intimate groups with a maximum of 18 members per group.
