Amtrak Vacations Unveils Expanded Selection of Rail Journey Packages

Amtrak Vacations, the travel-packaging unit that creates hotel and destination packages in coordination with Amtrak rail trips, released its catalog for 2016 and 2017, with 16 new packages added to the lineup.
America’s national parks continue to be the star attractions for travel inside the U.S. Of Amtrak Vacations’ six new tour itineraries for 2016, four feature the national parks. They are Yellowstone to Yosemite by Rail , The Great Southwest featuring The Grand Canyon , Rocky Mountains to Yosemite and America's National Parks.
The company offers 40 separate packages featuring the national parks.
Amtrak Vacations’ President, Frank Marini, said that the demand for national parks in 2015 is the best the company has seen, and the upward trajectory shows no sign of abating.
Also new for the company is a new series of Rail Experiences, which are based on historic and scenic train routes.
The company is kicking of the promotion of its new 2016 lineup with an early booking discount of $200 per person on escorted tours and $150 on independent packages.
