Sakkara Group International (SGI), the parent company of Central Holidays and STI Travel, is expanding its operations and restructuring how the company does business.

SGI is opening an office in Paris that will go by the name Central Holidays France. The office will handle destination management services for inbound travelers in France, with a focus on providing the kinds of authentic, immersive experiences that travelers are looking for today.

The Paris office will provide destination management services not only for Central Holidays, but for other tour operators and travel companies as well.

“With the growing demand for immersive and enriching travel throughout Europe including food and wine programs, villa stays, heritage itineraries and very high-end, tailor-created travel programs increasing at such a fast pace, we have made the strategic decision to expand our focus in the region to cater more to the inbound travel demands coming from third party companies as well as from its affiliated brands including: Central Holidays, Journeys by Central Holidays, France Vacations, World On Skis, Mosaic Holidays, STI Travel USA, and STI Travel UK.” said Baher Ghabbour, chairman of SGI.

In addition, SGI is planning to hire a new general manager that will be based in London at the STI Travel UK office. The new GM will be focused on outbound business from the UK to North and South America.

The company is also expanding the operation of STI Travel USA by launching a new division focused on travel in Latin America. The Latin America division will be headed by Arthur Berman, the former executive vice president of Latour.

The Latin America division will expand the company’s travel options in Cuba, Peru, Brazil, Bolivia, Uruguay, Colombia, Ecuador, the Galapagos, Costa Rica, Chile, Nicaragua and El Salvador.

“This is a great time in our history to enhance our inbound footprint in Europe,” said Gianni Miradoli, CEO of Central Holidays. “We continue to be a leader in travel throughout Europe and the Mediterranean. Our growth and emerging market strategies are succeeding with new travel programs introduced to exciting destinations throughout Cuba and other Latin American countries, as well as destinations worldwide. And the growth potential in specific destinations — like France — particularly when it comes to customized travel for individual and groups, is tremendous.”
