Just about everyone has a bucket list these days.
From books to meals to things to accomplish before we leave this mortal coil, people are compiling lists and ticking boxes. And perhaps there’s nothing better suited to a Bucket List than travel—after all, who among us doesn’t have a personal list of must-see places?
In fact, London’s Telegraph newspaper recently posted its own list of 25 places to see before you die and wouldn’t you know that Collette, a global leader in escorted tours, has a multitude of packages to help you check off your bucket list … with plenty of time to spare.
Antarctica. A visit to the Antarctic should take pride of place on everyone’s travel bucket list. Collette’s 18-day tour takes adventurers to the Earth’s southernmost continent, where blue glaciers soar into bluer skies and colonies of penguins are among the only year-round inhabitants.
Patagonia. For those looking to check two destinations off their list in one fell swoop, Collette offers Antarctica & Chile’s Patagonia, a 20-day adventure like no other. Discover Patagonia and the Torres del Paine National Park and thrill as you see whales breach the surface from aboard the deck of the MS Midnatsol.
Machu Picchu. Collette offers up three tours that include a visit to Machu Picchu, the Lost City of the Incas, ranging from the 10-day Peru: Ancient land of Mysteries to the 23-day Complete South America.
Galapagos. Take the 14- to 15-day Machu Picchu & the Galapagos Islands tour and you’re two steps closer to completing your list. First, tread ground where Incas once roamed, then follow in Charles Darwin’s footsteps as you get up close and personal with some of the Galapagos’ more than 200 different indigenous species.

Taj Mahal. See the iconic monument to love on two Collette tours. Whether you soak up the Mysteries of India on a 15-day in-depth exploration of India’s best-known cities and landmarks or spend 10 days traversing India’s Golden Triangle, the Taj Mahal will leave an indelible mark.
Holy Land. Two tours take you to the Holy Land, where travelers will be able to tour some of the world’s most ancient and inspirational sites.
Angkor Wat. Cambodia’s best-known and best-kept temple is a destination all its own, and a visit here as part of the 19- to 20-day Three Kingdoms of Indochina tour allows plenty of time for exploration as well as an unforgettable visit to this UNESCO World Heritage site.
Safari. See the Big 5 on any one of four Collette tours, taking in South Africa, Botswana, Tanzania or Kenya. Depending on the tour, you may have the opportunity to stay at a Masai Mara game reserve or even stand at the tip of the African continent at the Cape of Good Hope.
Grand Canyon. It’s one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World and worth seeing for its sheer vastness alone. Two hundred and seventy-seven river miles long, 18 miles wide and a mile deep is nothing if not staggeringly impressive. Thanks to Collette, you have multiple routes from which to take in the splendor.
Northern Lights. A seven-day voyage to the Land of Fire and Ice allows for plenty of daytime exploration and fun (think the famed Blue Lagoon and a trip to the tongue-twisting Eyjafjallajökull Volcano Visitor Center) before settling in for one the most dazzling nighttime shows around–the Northern Lights.
