Collette Intros New Spotlight on London
Responding to the rising demand for independent travel with destination management assistance, Collette introduced a new entry in its Spotlights series: Spotlight on London.
The five-day package includes a city tour showing it in broad panorama to prepare customers for further exploration on their own. It also includes a trip out of town to see Stonehenge; a visit to the city of Salisbury; a day free for exploration of London; a ride on the London Eye, and a visit to a recreation of Shakespeare’s Globe Theater
Collette introduced the series in 2014 to find a new balance point between the assistance provided by escorted tours and the freedom of independent travel. Spotlights packages provide four- to six-night stays in a single city, with some included activities during the mornings, but with afternoons and evenings free.
Each Spotlights package includes a local guided city tour for orientation, local hosting, and support with some meals included, a lot of freedom and independence and only one unpacking and re-packing job.
The packages utilize Collette’s extensive worldwide tour infrastructure to provide support at the destination with some of the kinds of inclusions of its escorted tours, such as museum visits, but with more independence and more time to get a more concentrated and comprehensive experience of a single city.
Other packages in the series include Spotlights for Paris, Dublin, New Orleans, and San Francisco.
