The Globus family of brands is expanding its coverage of Asia with new programs for Japan and India.
The new Japan and India tours, along with Globus’ programs to China, Vietnam and Cambodia, make up the tour operator's Asia catalog.
New for 2016 is Globus’ Classic Japan: The Golden Route. It’s an eight-day program designed to give an overview of Japan and a sampling of the great variety of the country. The itinerary includes a range of experiences from big cities to small villages, a cooking class, a calligraphy class, a tea ceremony, a cruise on Lake Ashki, a ride on the bullet train from Tokyo to Kyoto and a cable car ride up Mount Fujiyama.
Also new for 2016 is Icons of India: The Taj, Tigers and Beyond. The 10-day program includes stays in Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, as well as a train ride to Ranthambore National Park to track the Bengal tiger, leopards and deer. In Agra, the tour includes an encounter with the incomparable Taj Mahal.
The two new tours are part of Globus Small Group Discovery series. They have a maximum of 20 guests per departure.
Other Asia programs from Globus include the 10-day Discover Japan, the 11-day Treasures of China (Small Group Discovery Tour) and the 13-day Exploring Vietnam and Cambodia (Small Group Discovery Tour).
Globus sister brand Monograms, its independent, hosted package product, is offering 40 itinerary variations for exploring the Asian countries of Japan, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Singapore, Laos, Dubai and India.
The Monograms independent programs are short-stay independent programs with air, hotel, some scheduled activities, and lots of freedom and independence but with local hosting and guidance.
The Globus family of Brands also includes Avalon Waterways, the operator of river cruises. Avalon also offers Asia, but experienced via the companies 36-passenger river cruise boats on the Yantze, Mekong and Irrawaddy rivers.
