Island Routes Launches New Jamaican Cultural Tour
Attraction company Island Routes Caribbean Adventures has announced the launch of a new cultural tour into Jamaica’s capital, Kingston.
The cultural tours of Kingston will give travelers who stay in major resort areas a deeper look into the history of the island. As part of the "Let’s Go Native" product series, the tour will take visitors to places in Jamaica most don’t get the chance to experience.
The new tour is set to launch in May, and will be a full-day adventure from Montego Bay and Ocho Rios to Kingston on a luxury bus. During the tour, visitors will stop at important sites including Emancipation Park, The National Gallery, The Bob Marley Museum, Devon House, local places of worship and more with expert guides.
“I recently spoke about why I started Island Routes and my desire for us to be the enabler for people to have authentic, local experiences. Seven years on and we still strive to do this every day,” Island Routes CEO Adam Stewart said in a statement. “Just like a number of people in our team, I am from Kingston, so it made complete sense to take advantage of our insider knowledge and develop a Kingston highlight tour exploring the same local spots we grew up surrounded by.”
“From history and culture, to food and music, including the iconic Bob Marley Museum, it is a truly fantastic place to experience and it is definitely authentic,” Stewart said. “With the recent completion of Jamaica’s north-south highway, the capital is more accessible than ever, so it’s with great pride that we’re announcing our newest Island Routes Let’s Go Native product.”
