Wedding season is just around the corner and with weddings come honeymoons. US News & World Report just released its Best Hotels in the Caribbean 2015 list and of the 29 hotels and resorts on the list, 18 are in Travel Impressions' portfolio, four of them in the top 10.
Jamaica Inn - Ocho Rios, Jamaica (No. 3). Named Best Hotel in Jamaica, this intimate, grand hotel is nestled just to the east of Ocho Rios on a 700-foot strip of private beach along beautiful Bay in Jamaica. Spice Island Beach Resort - St. George's, Grenada (#4). Recently renovated, this all-inclusive resort is situated on the Grand Anse White Sand Beach and features a mix of 64 suites, including a selection of gardenview, direct beach suites or private pool suites that feel like villas. A AAA Four-Diamond winner, it received high marks for its attentive staff, customer service and location, location, location.
Dorado Beach, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve - Dorado, Puerto Rico (No. 6). Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve is the second Reserve in an exclusive portfolio worldwide and the first Ritz-Carlton Reserve in the Americas. Situated on three miles of Caribbean coastline with 1,400 acres of natural beauty, privacy and luxury on the former Laurance Rockefeller estate, all guestrooms and suites are situated directly on the beach. Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve also features a five- acre botanical spa; a restaurant by chef Jos Andrs; and Ambassadors of the Environment by Jean-Michel Cousteau. Moving up eight places on the US News list, the property was also given a Condé Nast Readers' Choice Award.
Jade Mountain - Soufrière, St. Lucia (No. 10). Architect owner Nick Troubetzkoy has expanded upon his philosophy of building in harmony with Caribbean nature and environment in his creation of Jade Mountain. The bold architectural design with individual bridges leading to infinity pool sanctuaries makes Jade Mountain one of the Caribbean's most mesmerizing resort experiences.
