Tauck opened its small ship cruise selection for 2016 for booking, with 15 cruise offerings on nine ships in Northern Europe, the Mediterranean, Asia, Australia, Alaska, Antarctica and Latin America.
New for 2016 is the 13-day Treasures of Southeast Asia trip, which begins in Hong Kong and sails for nine nights in the China Sea on board the small vessel L’Austral. The cruise stops in several ports of Vietnam, including Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Da Nang, Chan May and Ho Chi Minh City.
Tauck’s Cruising Down Under program has been enhanced for 2016. It combines a seven-night, land trip in Australia with a nine-night cruise off the coast of New Zealand aboard Le Soleal.
The tour operator’s water-based programs continue to grow in popularity, which the company attributes to its own particular approach to packaging travel by ship and land together in a unique balance.
The company’s individual value proposition in the small ship cruise marketplace is based on the enhancement of the cruise experience through its 90-year experience developing and evolving the art of land exploration. The company also applies its experience operating tours to the on-board experience of its water-based trips.
According to CEO Dan Mahar: “Our focus is always on revealing each destination and each port of call in an enriching, authentic way, highlighted by access to people, places and experiences our guests can only enjoy with Tauck. We’ve been destination experts for 90 years, and we match our signature land experiences with the ease and convenience of sailing aboard the most intimate and stylish small ships available.”
