Feast your eyes on the amazing photos just released by tour operator and cruise line Tauck of the new lower-level loft cabins.
According to Tauk, this unique split-level design is, "the first real innovation brought to the lower-level cabins on any cruise line's riverboats, features a raised seating area topped by a correspondingly higher ceiling that together allow the use of a much taller window."
The design not only opens the room up to more natural light, the window also features a central horizontal panel that can be raised electronically to let in generous amounts of fresh air. (Fresh air! In lower level!) At 225 square feet, Tauck's loft cabins are also 50% more spacious than lower-level cabins found on other riverboats. The ms Inspire and ms Savor will each feature eight loft cabins on their respective Emerald decks.
The photos, seen below, were captured earlier this month aboard the ms Inspire in The Netherlands where the ship is being fitted out in advance of its official launch in April. The ms Savor will launch in June.
If this new announcement has you wanting to propose a toast, you're in luck there as well. Tauck is celebrating the event by announcing an expanded complimentary drinks policy on all six of its European riverboats. Under the new policy, guests will now enjoy unlimited beer, wine and premium spirits throughout the day aboard Tauck's four existing Jewel Class ships and on its two new Inspiration Class ships launching this year. Travelers on Tauck's riverboats had previously enjoyed unlimited wine and beer with onboard meals only.
According to Tauck CEO Dan Mahar, the expansion of the drinks policy is a natural extension of the company's all-inclusive approach. "Without a doubt Tauck is the most fully-inclusive river cruise line, so expanding our beverage policy is entirely consistent with our core philosophy," said Mahar. "We already sell zero options on our riverboats, and we already include all gratuities, shore excursions, meals ashore, airport transfers and much more, so we're happy to make the total Tauck river cruise experience even more inclusive for our guests."
