G Adventures has launched eight new trips to Africa and Asia for 2018.

The new journeys add to the tour operators' ambitious collection of National Geographic itineraries, including lesser-known, off-the-beaten-path destinations such as Borneo, Mongolia and African wildlife parks.

"These tours combine traveling for fun with traveling for good, and they have a strong appeal as travelers become increasingly conscious about the impact of their vacation decisions," said Nancy Schumacher, head of travel and tour operations at National Geographic.

"We've collaborated closely with G Adventures to design enhanced hands-on experiences and capture National Geographic's long history of exploration and discovery. When travelers go on our trips, they help support the work of our explorers and scientists, as a portion of our proceeds goes directly to the nonprofit National Geographic Society," added Schumacher.

The new 2018 tours include:

Best of Borneo

The 12-day journey takes guests through some of the country's most unusual and awe-inspiring landscapes, visiting Mulu National Park, the orangutans of Matang, the elusive Bornean pygmy elephant, the Lipad mud volcano and more.

Discover Mongolia

This 14-day itinerary follows in the footsteps of a Lama Buddhist monk through the Erdene Zhu monastery, visting the dramatic Flaming Cliffs and giving visitors a chance to with a family of nomadic camel-herders.

Southern Tanzania Safari

A six-day safari, guests have a whirlwind chance at wildlife viewing in the southern part of the country where camps and wildlife experiences in national parks are much more remote.

Wildlife Parks of Tanzania

This journey is a longer more in-depth Tanzania experience lasting 12 days. It begins in the popular parts of the country such as the Serengeti before guests travel to more secluded wildlife reserves.

Botswana & Zimbabwe Safari

Travel to some of the top wildlife reserves in Southern Africa on this 10-day trek, including the chance to meet with a researcher from National Geographic's Okavango Wilderness Project and cruise along the Chobe River to watch elephants drink along its banks.

Southern Africa Safari Experience

This 18-day journey travels to Botswana, South Africa and Zimbabwe, including Kruger and Chobe game reserves. Guests also have the opportunity to take a wildlife walk with a researcher in the panhandle of the Okavango Delta and dine at a private home near Victoria Falls.

The Great Southern Africa Safari

Those looking for a longer journey will love the 21-day Great Southern Africa Safari, which includes Cape Town, Victoria Falls, visits to research camps and more.

Discover Bali and Java

Indulge your spiritual side with a 15-day trek to the stunning beaches, jungles and temples of Bali and Java where you will Mt. Bromo on a Jeep ride through the jungle, visit Bogor Botanical Gardens and explore ancient sites Hindu and Buddhist sites.
