Trafalgar, England’s 70-year old tour operator, released its 2016 brochures for its programs in Asia and Australia-New Zealand.
Trafalgar is historically known as a European tour operator, having built its business over decades in Europe, which is still the number one overseas destination for American travelers. But Trafalgar’s returning customers are evolving and expanding their horizons. And they want to be able to travel with a trusted tour operator to more exotic destinations.
In fact, it is when traveling to distant destinations where the languages and cultures are most unfamiliar that the services of a tour operator are most important.
In its Exotics category, in Asia and Australia-Pacific, Trafalgar is offering 43 itineraries. The Asia brochure offers 14 programs. The Australia-Pacific brochure offers 29. Some are what Trafalgar calls fully-guided and some are independent Mini Stays.
Besides being guided and securely accommodated and transported by Trafalgar local experts who know the language and the destination in which each tour is conducted, the company spices up the programs with Insider Experiences that provide special access behind the scenes of various local enterprises, events, families and social settings.
Baggage handling, gratuities and taxes are also included in the price.
Among the new entries for 2016 are Secrets of Myanmar, an 11-day program in Trafalgar’s Hidden Journeys series priced from $3,507; Discover Australia and New Zealand, a 15-day At Leisure trip priced from $4,695; and The Southern Drift, a 12-day Hidden Journeys program in New Zealand’s South Island, priced from $4,365.
Trafalgar’s favorite Exotic trips are Splendors of Japan, a nine-day trip priced from $3,578 per person; Contrasts of Australia and New Zealand, an 18-day trip priced from $4,676; and Highlights of Vietnam with Cambodia, a 15-day trip from $3,363.
These three trips have all achieved 100 percent guest ratings.
Trafalgar is currently offering early booking discounts up to 10 percent for programs booked and paid for by Nov. 19. Past passengers are eligible for 5 percent discounts on the land portion of the packages. The past passenger status applies to anyone taking trips with any of Trafalgar’s sister companies of the Travel Corporation, including Insight Vacations, Uniworld and Contiki Vacations.
Prices are per person double, not including air.
