G Adventures is gearing up for 2018 in a major way.
The tour operator has launched 34 new itineraries for the coming year, allowing travelers to now visit the tropical state of Hawaii, the Middle East country of Oman and a variety of other new destinations.
The Highlights of Oman tour runs eight days, with departure from and returning to Muscat, with costs beginning at $2,299 per person.
"Oman is one of the best-kept secrets in this part of the world and is often described as the Switzerland of the Middle East because of its independence," Sofia Montezo, the Europe and Middle East product manager for G Adventures, said.
"We love its beautiful mix of historic culture and modern living, as well as its inviting and friendly people," Montezo added. "It's also a fun destination for adventure. You can swim in mountain wadis, watch turtles nesting on the coast, go off-road dune bashing in the desert, wander through ancient forts and castles, or go hiking in the West Hajar Mountains. It really has something for everyone."
In addition to far-flung exotic itineraries, there is a growing demand among G travelers for more tours within the U.S. and the company has answered the call with expanded offerings in the States.
Next year, G Adventures will operate its first Hawaii program, traveling to the Big Island, Maui, Oahu and Kauai. Highlights include a visit to Oahu's North Shore to watch surfers tackle mega waves, a stop at Kualoa Ranch where "Jurassic Park" was filmed, travel along the stunning Na Pali Coast State Park, experiencing an interactive local luau and exploration of Volcanoes National Park.

"Travelers have been asking us for adventures in Hawaii for years. It's taken some time to develop them in a G Adventures way, but we are incredibly excited to add this new program and show travelers another side of this cultural and natural wonder", said Ben Perlo, U.S. managing director for G Adventures.
The tour operator is offering three Classic trips to the Islands in 2018 with itineraries ranging between 8 and 15 days. Prices start at $2,799 per person.
Other featured Classic trips in the coming year include Highlights of Portugal, a seven-day exploration of the country starting at $1,299 per person and Discover Ethiopia, a 10-day trip that explores the culture and tradition of the Amhara region. Prices begin at $2,299 per person.
