The 2017 Travvy Awards are coming up. The Travvys are fast-becoming one of the most buzzworthy ceremonies in the industry, where travAlliancemedia welcomes the who’s who of travel and recognizes top companies, products and destinations for outstanding achievement.

This year the event will return to New York’s iconic Gotham Hall, praised by attendees as the “perfect setting” for a ceremony of this caliber.

The coveted, golden statuettes will be handed out on Jan. 25, 2017 and voting on this year’s award winners is open through Nov. 30.

For those looking to learn more about what this tremendous honor is all about, here is a look back at last year’s winners in the category of Best Family Resort/Hotel.

WINNER: Generations Riviera Maya by Karisma

Karisma Hotels & Resorts is one of the leading hotel and resort companies when it comes to family-friendly properties. The company continues to lead the way in its multigenerational offerings with the stunning Generations Riviera Maya property, which is upping the ante on the family beach vacation.

The all-inclusive, all-suite property really delivers when it comes to luxury. Amenities include butlers, a la carte dining, infinity pool balcony suites and the Eko Kids Club with supervision so that parents can enjoy time away from the kiddos. The property also has four restaurants with 180-degree views of the Caribbean Sea.

Generations is one of Karisma’s newer family-friendly brands but the company has also recently launched the popular Nickelodeon Hotel & Resort as well.

RUNNER UP: Memories Splash Punta Cana

For a winning family vacation, multigenerational groups can’t go wrong at Blue Diamond Resorts’ Memories Splash Punta Cana, which will bring out the kid in everyone.
The resort is home to the Caribbean’s largest water park, which should put a twinkle in the eye of any thrill seeker. There are gravity-defying waterslides, splash pads, spray grounds, wave pools and more that are guaranteed to be a hit with kids of all ages.

Located near Bavaro Beach, the all-inclusive experience offers Diamond Club service, luxury accommodations, free Wi-Fi access, unlimited beverages and friendly staff.
