Agent@Home Magazine is excited to announce that September's issue will mark its 10 year anniversary! Agent@Home was launched 10 years ago to address the way the travel agent world was being reinvented. Created with home-based agents in mind, Agent@Home wanted to give its readers the product information and sales and marketing tools they need to build their business; information then, as now, not available to them anywhere else. And for 10 years, tens of thousands of home-based agents have relied on Agent@Home to keep their businesses running successfully.
The at-home agent market now makes up more than 40 percent of the entire travel agent market, and is responsible for more than 30 percent of all leisure travel. With this difficult-to-reach segment achieving such monumental growth (312 percent in ten years), many suppliers and destinations have made Agent@Home their primary media vehicle to speak directly to home-based agents about their product, property or destination.
"Agent@Home was the first magazine developed to meet the business needs of the growing population of home-based travel agents, and it continues to be the only magazine serving their needs," said James Shillinglaw, editor in chief of Agent@Home magazine. "We will continue to provide great content for our readers, who will soon represent the vast majority of all travel agents in the United States."
It will be the biggest and boldest issue we've ever published to date!
Agent@Home has a special editorial line-up for the September decennial issue that will include a timeline and a look back at the past 10 years, the current state of the market and where it's headed in the future. We've invited our award-winning editors, successful home-based agents and suppliers and destinations who support home-based agents to provide their perspectives on the market, how Agent@Home has helped them become successful and where they see the market heading in the future.
It will also include the evolution of tours, cruises and hotels & resorts in the past ten years. The issue will also include the highly anticipated results of the annual home-based travel agent survey.
