Arnold W. Donald, president and CEO of Carnival Corporation, will attend ASTA’s 2017 Global Convention (AGC) slated for Aug. 27 to 29 in San Diego. He will be interviewed by Emmy award-winning travel journalist Peter Greenberg.
Travel and media personality Samantha Brown will also reprise her role as emcee of the convention. She will host the opening and closing AGC general sessions, the Global Travel Exchange and the black-tie Advocacy Dinner on August 28.
“ASTA is thrilled to welcome Arnold Donald to our Global Convention,” said Zane Kerby, president and CEO. “Agents need to understand the implications of changes to come in the fast-growing cruise sector, and who better to hear it from than the head of the largest leisure travel company in the world?
“This year is about challenging expectations of what an ASTA Global Convention is about,” Kerby added. “Whether you are a leisure or corporate agency owner, front-line agent or independent contractor, the additions of Arnold Donald, Samantha Brown and Peter Greenberg gives you yet another reason to join us at the ASTA Global Convention as we chart the course to the future.”
Arnold Donald oversees Carnival Corporation’s portfolio of ten cruise brands–Carnival Cruise Line, Holland America Line, Princess Cruises, Seabourn, AIDA Cruises, Costa Cruises, Cunard, P&O Cruises UK, P&O Cruises Australia and Fathom–based throughout North America, Europe, Australia and Asia.
These brands collectively maintain a fleet of more than 100 ships and serve more than 11.5 million guests a year.
