Cohen to Offer Group Sales Boot Camp
Stuart Cohen, veteran industry executive, sales trainer and motivational speaker, is offering travel agents and suppliers a first-ever backstage tour of Group Boot Camp, an industry training camp that provides step-by-step tips, tools and templates for mastering the group business model.
Guests will see the breadth of program titles and structured flow of how the one-year membership program is designed to radically transform group strategies.
The online guided tour by Cohen is slated for April 26 at 11 a.m. ET or 2 p.m. ET. The backstage tour is part of a one-year anniversary “success celebration” and will include Cohen’s Ask Stuart Hour where agents can ask Cohen anything.
As part of his Group Boot Camp, Cohen will show agents how to find more groups, avoid bad groups, present and sell smarter, brand better, create new group leaders, write perfect agreement letters, leverage suppliers, create more appealing packages, profit through markups, promote and launch in proper sequence, avoid communications disasters, and escort expertly, he said.
“For most agents, doing groups has been more pain than gain,” Cohen said. “Enormous effort nets dismal results. This will always be true for agents who 'dabble' in group sales. Agents who put both feet in will create an environment of exponential growth in sales and profits.
A key to success for agents is to realize they cannot thrive on commission alone, according to Cohen. “To me, that is just a gratuity and hardly enough margin to survive.”
He says mastering group business means offering packages versus “barebones, off-the-shelf products.” “Group business can be very important when agents abandon old methods of sourcing, pricing, promoting and managing,” said Cohen.
Cohen launched Group Boot Camp in February, 2015. Part of his three-tiered strategy to show travel professionals how to build an “obsolete-proof” business, boot camp membership provides online video modules, special reports and direct access to Stuart via ‘live’ business coaching sessions.
That three-tier strategy includes helping agents put loyalty back into their business, helping them master the group business model, and helping them source new clients who need them.
