Dream Vacations Signs On As Title Sponsor for the 2016 Travvy Awards
With just three weeks to go before the biggest night of the new year for travel professionals, the 2016 Travvy Awards is proud to announce this year’s title sponsor.
Dream Vacations has signed on as the official show sponsor for this year’s gala event, to be held Wednesday, Jan. 6 at New York City’s Gotham Hall, two days before the annual New York Times Travel Show.
he new brand is from long-time travAlliancemedia partner CruiseOne, who has added the brand Dream Vacations to more clearly tell its story as a franchisor for home-based travel agencies that sells vacation packages, resorts and tours in addition to its extensive cruise offerings. CruiseOne is a division of the largest vacation retailer in the U.S., World Travel Holdings.
The next chapter in the company’s growth was announced Nov. 16 by Senior Vice President Debbie Fiorino during the annual Cruise One/Cruises Inc. conference aboard the Norwegian Escape.
“The Travvys have quickly become one of the most prestigious awards in the travel industry and the timing was right to be the official show sponsor, with the launch of CruiseOne’s new home-based travel franchise brand Dream Vacations taking place in April 2016,” said Fiorino of the company's sponsorship of the gala. “Our agents and Headquarters team are thrilled with this ongoing partnership and we look forward to a memorable evening.”
The Dream Vacations brand will officially launch in April 2016. The man behind the Travvy Awards is thrilled the company has chosen to use the gala as their coming-out party to the travel world.
“We have always valued our long-standing partnership with CruiseOne and World Travel Holdings and are thrilled to give them the spotlight to showcase their exciting evolution,” said Mark Murphy, CEO of travAlliancemedia. “The Travvys took the travel world by storm last year and we’re thrilled to work with Dream Vacations as we become the must-attend event of the year for the travel industry.”
In a change from last year’s event, award winners will be announced for the first time live at the 2016 Travvy Awards, Brought To You By Dream Vacations (sounds good, doesn’t it?).

Travel industry professionals have quickly gravitated toward the uniqueness of the awards where travel agents and insiders vote on the winners.
More than 39,000 agents and travel professionals voted for this year’s winners, a 20 percent increase in voters from the inaugural event in 2015. Due to popular demand from last year’s attendees, Travvy officials have expanded the list of categories significantly for this year’s awards.
