G Adventures is looking for travel agents to represent the company and spread the word that travel is a force for good.
"At G Adventures, we are for-profit, but we are also for so much more. We see travel as a powerful catalyst for tangible change in the world and believe it has the power to lift people, spread wealth, empower women, and build happiness and community," said Ben Perlo, managing director for G Adventures in the U.S. "By bringing local people into the tourism economy and supporting their success through training, funding and predictable access to customers, we help people help themselves. Travelers with G Adventures are the engines that enable this positive impact, and travel agents are the drivers. It's a collaborative team effort."
The six ambassadors will truly be a force for good. According to G Adventures, ambassadors will assist the company in promoting the life-changing benefits of travel to their customers and peer communities. They will also help educate consumers about G Adventures' products and learning tools. Ambassadors will also have a hand in helping G Adventures' build support for the 2017 UN International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development.
The chosen travel agents will be rewarded with benefits for the work, which could include marketing funds to host educational customer events; a custom G Adventures communications tool kit; and a G Adventures' gift bag filled with branded wearables and travel accessories.

Ambassadors will also be rewarded with the opportunity to travel on one of six all-expense-paid trips with G Adventures. Destinations include Belize, Morocco, Nepal, Peru, Tanzania and Vietnam where they can experience firsthand how travel is helping to change people's lives for good.
"The potential to contribute to positive change is there. What isn't quite there yet is adequate demand from Americans for a better world through travel," said G Adventures' U.S. marketing manager Steve Lima. "Together with our agent and consortium partners, and these six future Ambassadors of Change, we hope to create more knowledge, enthusiasm and demand for travel that really makes a difference."
To participate in the program, agents need to visit gadventures.com/ambassador where they will find more specific information on the program as well as an application to become one of the six ambassadors.
