Agents that make up the Professional Travel Agents of North America (PTANA) organization will now enjoy the complement of tools that come with being a member of the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA).
On Tuesday, the travel world learned that the two organizations would come together for a relationship that will invigorate both entities with enthusiasm and expertise.
Travel and Tour World quotes CLIA's president and CEO Cindy D'Aoust who warmly welcomed the travel agent organization into the fold: "PTANA has proven themselves to be a valuable member of the cruise industry and I look forward to seeing them thrive as a new Premier Member of CLIA."

For the uninitiated, CLIA continues to represent a wide berth of cruise industry interests with 15 offices across the world, serving the needs of up to 60 cruise lines.
As for the PTANA, it's dedicated to giving travel agents the tools they need to succeed, which includes a networking system and educational forum.
Lila Nicholas is the National Chairperson, PTANA, and explained how this particular partnership will help its members: "It's all about the relationship, with our partners, our members, our clients, and now with CLIA. This unprecedented alliance will ensure PTANA agencies and agents are empowered with professional development tools and resources that are the gold standard for the cruise industry and will help PTANA members increase their cruise sales while creating more satisfied and loyal cruise clients."
