Vicki Freed is one of the most recognizable and well-respected cruise executives in the travel industry-and you can see her in person at the first ever Agent@Home Travel Summit in Long Beach, Calif., Sept. 15-18.
Freed, CTC, serves as Royal Caribbean International's senior vice president-sales, trade support and service. She oversees the company's 345-person sales force, the largest sales team in the cruise industry. She also manages Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.'s Trade Support and Service division, which includes Reservations, Group Sales, Customer Service and Consumer Outreach divisions.
Freed joined Royal Caribbean after 29 years with Carnival Cruise Line, where she spent the last 15 years as senior vice president of sales and marketing. Prior to that, she served in a variety of sales management positions at Carnival. From 1998 to 2000, Freed also served as chairman of the Cruise Line International Association (CLIA), the marketing and travel agent training arm of the North American cruise industry.
She has served as a popular and well-received speaker at travel trade events in the past. In Long Beach this September, she will deliver a keynote address, be interviewed on stage and then take questions from the audience. She also has quickly become known for her emailed sales and marketing tips, Vicki's Tips, which she sends out on a regular basis to top travel agents around the country.
Agent@Home Travel Summits, the first of their kind, provide a forum where home-based travel agents, the readers of Agent@Home magazine, can network, learn how to improve their business, and discover more about travel industry products and services. Twin summits are scheduled in Long Beach, Calif., Sept. 15-18, and Atlantic City, N.J., Sept. 29-Oct. 2.
The summits bring Agent@Home, the only magazine that caters to home-based travel professionals and entrepreneurs, to life by offering extensive educational programming covering the top issues facing the travel agency trade today. Agent@Home is a sister publication to TravelPulse.com.
