Paul Wiseman, president of Trafalgar and Brendan Vacations USA, will be a featured keynote speaker at both Agent@Home Travel Summits, Sept. 15-18 in Long Beach, Calif., and Sept. 29-Oct. 2 in Atlantic City, N.J.
These twin shows, the first of their kind, provide a forum where home-based travel agents, the readers of Agent@Home magazine, can network, learn how to improve their business, and discover more about travel industry products and services.
An engaging speaker who has wowed audiences at other travel industry events over the years, Wiseman has been instrumental in changing the image of escorted tours, now often called guided vacations, during his long career in the tour business.
Wiseman has led Trafalgar, part of The Travel Corporation group, as president in the U.S. since January 2008. He added the title of president of Brendan Vacations USA, a sister company to Trafalgar, in 2013. Born in Australia, he previously served as managing director of Trafalgar Tours in Australia from January 2000 to October 2007, and managing director of Contiki Holidays in Australia from 1999 to 2001. He began his travel career as a travel consultant with Steward Moffat Travel in Australia.
As president of Trafalgar in the U.S., Wiseman is in charge of one of the largest escorted tour operators in the world, focused on delivering guided vacations to Europe, Asia, Australia and South Pacific, North, South and Central America. He also oversees Brendan Vacations, which focuses on Ireland and Scotland programs.
Wiseman will deliver keynote addresses on how to better sell tours and travel in general. He also will be interviewed on stage and be available for questions from the audience on how escorted vacations are changing and his own career in the travel business has evolved.
