It was a star-studded night of celebration Thursday in New York City, as the best and brightest in the travel industry took part in history with the unveiling of the first annual Travvy Awards at the New York Marriott Marquis.
More than 65 winners were announced after voting that took place among 30,000 travel agents that named their favorites in cruising, tour operators and wholesalers, hotels and resorts, car rentals, destinations, airlines, travel technology, travel agencies, travel insurance, travel agency groups and rail travel.

On top of companies that won, a handful of most innovative individual awards were announced. Sandals founder and travel industry icon Gordon "Butch" Stewart took home a trophy for Most Innovative All-Inclusive Resort Executive.
He was one of a handful of winners features as travAlliance founder and CEO Mark Murphy took to the airwaves Saturday morning to discuss the awards with the hosts of "Fox and Friends."
