Airbnb remains a neat and unique opportunity to travelers. Checking in isn't always as easy as picking up a key at the front desk, however.

The brand had already distanced itself as a shift from the classic model of checking into a hotel for the night. It allows you to stay like a true local, often in a resident's actual house or apartment.

The fact that when you arrive nobody is home means gaining access can sometimes be confusing or problematic.

Airbnb announced Wednesday that it would roll out a new tool throughout June worldwide. This tool would allow hosts to post images and instructions on how to check in once guests arrive at their destination.

For guests, things are even better. You can now access a clear, efficient way to see how you will actually get into that home, pool house or studio apartment. The website also states that this will be accessible through the app and even when there is no Internet connection.

Airbnb explains: "Now, guests of hosts who opt into the new tool will receive clear, visual, in-app step-by-step guides on what to look for and expect when they arrive - like what door to enter through, where the lockbox is located, and what the code is."

This is yet another way the brand is attempting to make its service more accessible for the novice tech traveler.

Its duty is to entice some of those travelers who haven't yet attempted to meander away from the comfort of simply checking into a popular hotel brand.

Things are going well in that regard as Airbnb recently boasted that it is worth over $30 billion.

Meanwhile, hotels continue to grapple with wooing a new generation. The New York Times discovered in March that some in the industry would rather discredit Airbnb than work on new ways to market to guests. Its report found documents that shed a light on the industry's strategy to get over on Airbnb.

This included the following: "Build on the success of 2016 efforts to ensure comprehensive legislation in key markets around the country and create a receptive environment to launch a wave of strong bills at the state level while advancing a national narrative that furthers the focus on reigning in commercial operators and the need for commonsense regulation of short-term rentals."

Airbnb is content to sit back and roll out just another simple and easy-to-use innovation that will make its service familiar and comfortable.

It's that attention to detail that continues to make Airbnb a desirable route for countless travelers.
