Best Buy's Geek Squad Gifts Geek Knowledge At Minneapolis–St. Paul Airport

If you were wondering, it’s not you. It is indeed gloriously geeky out there at various airports, especially the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

According to a press release and images you see above and below, there is a glorious Pop-Up Tech Experience taking place at this particular airport, which means those with gadgets and a great deal of questions are in luck.

For those traversing MSP, the pop-up extravaganza is free and takes place in time for the holidays: Between Monday, Dec. 14 and Sunday, Dec. 20.

According to the release: “The Geek Squad Pop-Up, which will be open in Terminal 1 daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., will offer a wide variety of Geek Squad services, giveaways, mobile charging stations, product demos and fun technology-based activities for kids and adults alike.”

But let’s say that you aren’t fortunate enough to travel through the Twin Cities. Well, you can still get some geek tutelage with a purchase from one of myriad Best Buy kiosks, which are essentially vending machines for uber nerds.

The release issues how you can get knowledge on your new device: “For travelers and Best Buy customers nationwide, Best Buy will offer the gift of free device setup and Geek Squad training alongside any item purchased before Feb. 29 from the more than 200 Best Buy Express Kiosks across the country. After purchase, customers simply go to to schedule an in-store appointment at the Best Buy nearest them that is on, or before, March 16, 2016. Appointment and receipt required.”

However, those MSP-bound will have a few days of tutelage offered absolutely free.

But what do you get? Well, you can bring your device and various questions and your respective geek of choice will walk you through the ins and outs of your newfangled gadget.

But there is more, including activities for kids to learn about coding; demos, charging stations, Internet access and “More than 20,000 giveaways including ‘Gift of Geek Squad’ gift cards (up to a $100 value) for Geek Squad in-home services, Geek Squad service discounts, Best Buy gift cards, device sanitation wipes and more travel-themed takeaways.”
