Have you ever wanted to create your own Disney theme park?
Thanks to the team of creators at Disney Interactive, mobile device users will soon have the power to create their own amusement park in the palm of their hands.
As announced by Disney at the 2015 edition of the D23 Expo fan convention in Anaheim, California, via Giancarlo Valdes of VentureBeat.com, the company has teamed with video game developer Gameloft to bring the Disney Magic Kingdoms game to Apple, Android and Windows smartphones and tablets.
Designed in a similar fashion to Roller Coaster Tycoon, gamers will be able to build their own park using aspects of Disneyland in California, Walt Disney World in Florida, Disneyland Paris and other properties owned by the entertainment company.
Players will start with the classic Disney castle, but they will be able to add rides and attractions from across the company’s portfolio, including California Screamin', Space Mountain, the Haunted Mansion and others.
What will separate this title from other games in the same genre is Disney’s commitment to storylines. In the new game, people will be able to use familiar characters like Mickey Mouse, Cinderella, Buzz Lightyear, Maleficent, Emperor Zurg, Mother Gothel and more as good battles evil.
In addition to Disney’s commitment to telling fun and interesting stories, the focus on a new smartphone game indicates Disney Interactive is still committed to mobile devices and developing products for them.
The new game app will give fans the opportunity to build their own version of a theme park, something that should please hardcore and casual Disney fans alike.
