A painfully easy endeavor just got easier thanks to Google Maps' latest update for iOS devices.
According to Google Blog (h/t TechCrunch), road trippers can now pin a pit stop in the middle of their travels, which should make things a lot more enjoyable for corporate travelers on a business excursion or families out on a weekend getaway.
Now instead of relying on guess work or constantly inputting your destination, you can plan ahead and hit that restaurant you've been hearing so much about or that side trip that the kids demand while continuing on with your digital itinerary.
Google explains, "When you're in navigation mode, simply tap the magnifying glass at the top right corner of the screen to see a menu of helpful options for places you might need to stop at, like gas stations, grocery stores, or restaurants."

This update follows an October rollout for Android that offered the same technology. Now iOS users join the cool kids at the cool table.
It's far simpler to build out a full road trip plan thanks to the update, allowing travelers to make their respective way to that all-important destination while also filling the tank or the stomach seamlessly.
And if you were wondering how limited the offering was, Google continues by confirming that you will indeed be able to search for more specific locations for that "pit stop" of yours.
And, as we have come to expect with like apps and innovations, Google Maps will also offer the amount of time that the side trip will cost you.
