Google Photos Now Automates Your Awesome Vacation Albums

You come home from an exhausting vacation where you hauled around your luggage, your family’s luggage and all the various accoutrement that comes with an epic journey.

You’re pooped.

The last thing you want to do is update the family album with the best moments from the trip. While we live in an era sadly devoid of flying cars, there are some useful innovations that deserve our recognition, such as Google Photos recent update.

Now you can essentially sit back and let crazy algorithms do all the work in archiving your images and video.

Here is a quick video that illustrates all the ways Google Photos is about to enhance your vacation photo experience.

The Google Blog breaks down the particulars behind the new version of the software: “Starting today, after an event or trip, Google Photos will suggest a new album for you, curated with just your best shots.”

Now this isn’t just some geeky way to have your images all jumbled together in neat little virtual piles.

According to the blog, there is far more. Google Photos will allow for pins, maps and captions to become a part of your digital photo album.

Long gone are the days when you had to have your film processed and then stick a bunch of pictures into an album you never bothered to flip through again.
