How You Could Vacation in the Eiffel Tower this Summer

Have you ever wanted to spend the night inside of the Eiffel Tower?
Well now you can thanks to the latest promotion from Airbnb rival HomeAway. The short-term rental service, which is sponsoring this summer's UEFA Euro 2016 soccer tournament in France, will reward four lucky contestants with an overnight stay in the iconic landmark.
Anyone can enter, but contest entrants will have a maximum of 140 characters to explain to a panel of judges what they plan to do if given the opportunity to spend the night in the tower.
The four winners will be supplied with a makeshift bedroom and living space on the Eiffel Tower's first floor.
Although ambitious, the promotion presents a significant opportunity for HomeAway as the European market accounts for a huge portion of its overall business — 40 percent — according to Mashable.
Much like Airbnb, France and Paris in particular is a key market for HomeAway.

HomeAway will announce competition winners June 10, with the stays taking place later this summer.
Fittingly, the 2016 UEFA European Championship kicks off June 10 and concludes July 10 just north of Paris in Saint-Denis.
Founded in 2005, Austin, Texas-based HomeAway and all of its brands were officially acquired by Expedia late last year in exchange for $3.9 billion in cash and common stock.
