Renting a car can be a major pain. Thankfully, there is a brand new app that aims to curb all the frustration with an easy-to-use app that makes travel a bit more manageable.
This week we are killing car rental heartache with just one app that is popping up on iOS this week.
It’s appropriately named Carla, and it may just be the answer you have been looking for, especially if you find yourself constantly on the search for affordable car rentals around myriad airports and cities.
What’s more, the app adds the easy swiping many have come to expect with items like Tinder.
You simply put in your date range of when you hope to pick up and drop off the car. From there you are taken to a list of cars, of which you can pore over by swiping left if you aren’t the least bit interested or right if you are struck by the possibility.
Here’s a brief video that shows you more:
Co-founder Umut Ates explains the impetus behind the app in a press release: “Last year I missed a plane to Milan and ended up in Rome. I booked a hotel with HotelTonight, bought the plane ticket from Rome to Milan with EasyJet app, but I couldn't find a decent app to compare different cars from all car rental companies. I decided to build Carla when I was back home.”
The app is free at the moment and offers service to 20,000 locations in 150 countries around the world.
And if you have a favorite rental company, you are well served. Carla promises “850 car rental companies including Avis, Enterprise, Hertz, Sixt, Europcar and Alamo.”
Versatility is at the heart of Carla, which allows you to pick from a wide selection of cars: “Carla recommends personalized car rentals for users for their specific travel needs. We don't present 20 exact same cars from 20 different suppliers with $3 price difference.”
It’s a wonderful time to take a trip. Innovations allow corporate and leisure travelers to enjoy myriad ways to book hotels and flights.
Carla is just one more way to ease and diversify your experiences with a wealth of technology.
Rather than pore over the minutiae of an Internet search, you can have Carla do the heavy hunting for you with what turns out to be a wealth of automotive possibilities.
