God himself is riding shotgun, helping navigate your travels. Well, the man who once played God in the movie “Bruce Almighty” and “Evan Almighty” is anyway.
As many discovered via Facebook, Morgan Freeman became the latest celebrity to offer his voice to the popular turn-by-turn navigation app Waze.
Now you can head out on that road trip and pretend that your life is a documentary or some fancy Hollywood movie, complete with narration by the 78-year-old actor.
Here is the news via Waze:
While Freeman is an American treasure, he isn’t offering up his voice from overall generosity.
As noted, the narration comes in tandem with the opening of the movie “London Has Fallen,” which opens in theaters March 4.
Freeman follows a long line of celebrities from the film and sports world who have graced the app landscape.
Arnold Schwarzenegger, Vlade Divac, Terry Crews and Stephen Colbert have previously featured on the app popular for those trying to maneuver America’s great set of open roads.
Now you have the opportunity to enhance those trips with the actor known for featuring in such classics as “Seven,” “Driving Miss Daisy” and, of course, “The Shawshank Redemption.”
The only thing that would make this news better would be the assurance that we could arrive at our destination and get to hear Freeman paint a picture befitting a lifelong dream of visiting Zihuatanejo.
