Stayful, a next-generation app designed to connect travelers with boutique and independent hotels, just got a whole lot more interactive.
The company announced a handful of new features Thursday that will allow guests to have total control over their next hotel stay with their mobile device.
The app, which connects users with boutique and independent hotels and negotiates discounted room rates on the former's behalf, will now allow guests to check in, check out and interact with the hotel's front desk all from their device.
Users can also review their bill while on the go.
The new Stayful concierge will allow guests to upgrade their room, order room service, and schedule various services offered by the hotel in a few simple clicks.
The concierge feature also extends beyond the walls of the hotel, allowing guests to make plans at nearby attractions. For example, guests can make dinner reservations or purchase movie tickets without leaving their room.
Once users enter their personal preferences, Stayful will identify the appropriate hotels and work to secure the best possible rate. The company said, "Stayful travelers save an average of 22 percent on their reservation and hotels enjoy the lowest booking fees in the industry."
In addition to the potential to save, one of the app's biggest draws is its convenience.
With Stayful, users only have to download one app rather than each individual hotel app. Once they check into their hotel, the app transitions to the aesthetic of that hotel and users are off and running.
