There are some very easy ways to accidentally allow nefarious strangers a glimpse of your information. Thankfully, there are even easier ways to maintain some semblance of safety in a world of emails, apps, Wi-Fi and messaging.

Syracuse University's master of science in cybersecurity program was nice enough to lend more than a hand but an infographic that spells out seven ways you can stay safe in this crazy cyber world.

As its website states, “When you are on the road, you are also responsible for safeguarding your organization’s property and information—and you’re slightly more vulnerable to cyberattacks.”

It’s one thing to maintain privacy with your own personal missives and banking transactions. But corporate travelers need that extra assurance that their business accounts are well guarded.

What we have here are basic and, thankfully, easy ways to keep safe. Now we understand the constant allure of free Wi-Fi. But if you absolutely must surf these Interwebs, make sure you are guarded with a fine VPN that will add an extra level of security.

If you follow these simple steps you increase your chances of coming home safe, sound and with all of your personal and business info well intact.
