Second only to realizing you left the passport at home, remembering you forgot to turn something off at home is easily one of the most horrible feelings for travelers.

The latest is called Kasia, and it’s doing rather well in its Kickstarter campaign, garnering over $24,000 of its $30,000 goal with 36 days left.

The concept is quite simple, you plug your appliances into Kasia’s collection of plugs, which are in turn connected to the innovative hub.

From there, you can manage your devices from a world away. Here is a video that explains:

At the moment, you can get in on Kasia for $49, which nets you a hub as well as a plug. Both of which will ship at some point in August of this year.

One day leaving the house for a couple of weeks won’t come with the stress of making sure every last thing is turned off in your house. Nor will it come with the anxiety of double and triple checking every outlet.

An added bonus to the Kasia is that you get to monitor your home’s energy consumption as well.

But for we travelers, the real bonus is being able to pair Kasia switches and plugs to your phone’s app, just about ensuring that you never have to worry that your iron was left on as you walk through TSA.

Before today, that meant breaking down in a cold sweat over the horrible possibilities. Now the future promises the joy that comes with being unbelievably forgetful.
