A new year means a great deal of hope and renewal. Perhaps, the advent of 2016 will get you to consider ditching that dusty old wallet you have for one that is far more intelligent than any mere billfold.
We introduce you to an innovation spotted over on Kickstarter we are eager to try out ourselves at some point.
It’s called Ekster Wallets, and according to its marketing video it will alleviate any worry you have about that one-night stand leaving with your wallet for their Sunday brunch.
Although, this rather whimsical ad does a nice job of explaining in a few short moments what you might get from this specific wallet:
First, this relationship could be aided a great deal with a little more in the communication department.
Second, this wallet is pretty darn cool.
According to the Kickstarter campaign, Ekster is well taken care of in the funding department.
With just three days to go, the company has garnered over $257,000, surpassing its goal of about $16,000 by a healthy sum.
While only a couple days are left, you can still lock down your own wallet with about $75, which gets you the brown senate that ships in May.
For your money you are getting a great deal in monetary security as well as some peace of mind as far as that smartphone is concerned.
Essentially, the Ekster watches your phone and the phone watches the wallet as an alert can be sent from either to find its partnered device.
As noted, the wallet is trackable and also provides crucial security: “Our RFID/NFC blocking smart wallets protect your cards from wireless skimming and private data theft.”
And there is even a quick card access feature, so you can look like James Bond out there when making tenuous dating decisions with a person who may eventually take your wallet for a morning out with friends.
Now you can leave for vacation knowing that your two most important pocket passengers are secured and ready to watch one another like a tech team of brothers.
